The May 2013 training in Tokyo was great. Gashoku was shorter than usual instead of two full days we trained for a long half day followed by a great dinner.

Hayashi Sensei also offers supplemental training in Ikebukuro that was heavily attended by many of the foreign members.

I had 10 great training sessions in total. I estimate that during the Hombu sessions, 1 1/2 hours long, I was thrown down 288 times, which is just another reason why good ukemi is important. I hope you enjoy the pictures. There are small training moments in each of them.

As you can see it is a very busy (fast) floor. It is important to get up and away quickly while training and maybe in real life. |
